In June we were joined by Hawk Honey, a naturalist who has studied bees and wasps for several years and is currently based in Suffolk.
He gave us a talk called ‘The Forgotten Bees’.
We learnt about;
- The various varieties of bees and how they are identified
- Why they are endangered
- How their environment has changed over the last few decades
- How we can help
- What not to do when ‘trying to help’
It was a very interesting and enjoyable talk that raised a lot of discussion amongst the group.
We then split into breakout rooms for those who wanted to continue the evening with some much needed catching up.
